Who Gives A Crap? We Humbly Do.
Who Gives A Crap, the lovable industry-disrupting toilet paper brand that donates 50% of profits in support of water and sanitation projects has been making waves in Australia since 2012. Now this pun-filled powerhouse is becoming a globally recognised symbol for good, trading in 36+ countries and available on the shelves of Tesco (UK), Whole Foods (USA), and Aldi and Woolworths here in Australia.
A Royal Flush
We’ve been a huge fan since the very beginning, when the team made international media headlines with an iconic crowdfunding campaign involving Co-Founder, Simon Griffiths, being live-streamed while sitting on a toilet. Simon refused to get off the crapper, until they had enough pre-orders to fill a warehouse and fulfil the first production run.
“I’m sitting down for what I believe in, and I’m not getting up until I get some toilet paper, $50,000 worth” he memorably said.
Co-Founders Jehan, Danny and Simon successfully reached their target and the rest was history, though we encourage you to look back if you haven’t seen their original crowdfunding video, available here. It still inspires and entertains.
Brewing Good with Humble Brag
Humble Andrew, caught up with WGAC Co-Founder and VP of Strategy & Growth, Jehan Ratnatunga, at the peak Social Enterprise Conference in Melbourne this year (Social Traders Convene 2025). The puns were flying (and we're now regretting not including a counter for the number of times the word ‘bum’ was used in this interview at the bottom of the video)
As the new kid on the block, Humble Brag is a social enterprise that is thankfully finding ourselves in the homes, cafes and workplaces of people across Australia who are wanting to do-good everyday. It was humbling to spend time with Jehan, talk all things social enterprise, toilet paper and coffee. We have so much to learn from him and the inspiring and hilarious team at Who Gives A Crap.
Enjoy our humble chat.
